by Dechun Li from 5H

Today I will talk to you about something that we all know and is very important: ‘The 3 reasons that students get bad grades and the solution’. I think most of the people have got bad grades before. The problem is with lots of parents, so I am going to talk to you about the reasons and the solutions.

  1. Not Paying Attention

Some students do not pay attention in class because they don’t know that learning is something that is very important. If they do not listen to the teachers, they will not get high marks, so they start to get tired and hate studying and learning.

  2. Only Playing And Not Studying

After class some students will go home and only play things like video games, watch TV and play with toys. And then, they don't have enough time to study. Playing video games and watching TV can totally be addictive; in fact, they will not want to study or do homework.

  3. Afraid Of Challenges And A Lack Of A Sense Of Achievement

Some people are afraid of challenges because they don’t have the courage to face them. For example, if you play three hours of video games, you can get a lot of resources, such as gold; the resource can help you upgrade your troop (if you have one). But if you study for three hours, you only learn a little bit, and it doesn't make much progress, so people will think that studying is very boring and tiring and hate studying.

Solution

The Pomodoro Technique

Long hours of learning will accidentally hurt your eyes, and you will be tired. Therefore, we shouldn't waste our time and make good use of time so we can use “The Pomodoro Technique" to improve your time use. This solution can help you the right way. First, you just study for 20 to 30 minutes, and then you can take a break for 5 to 10 minutes. During the rest, you can do the things that you like. Such as playing video games and watching TV. This solution will help us study more effectively and improve our grades because having a proper rest is also very important. I can give you some ideas, such as looking at your watch to check your time.
