Kids’ Clothing Styles

By Chelsie Chor from 5F

Many kids want to look fashionable when they go out, but the problem is that some clothing styles aren’t what kids want or aren't age-appropriate. Well, I’m going to share three styles for kids today!

Styles can be divided into many different kinds, and they serve purposes. Everyone has their own taste, but what exactly is a style? A style is a way for people to express themselves through fashion personally and show their mood depending on how they feel that day. I hope the styles I am going to recommend can help you find your own style.

The first style is about casual sporty looks. Kids can wear hoodies, jerseys, joggers, leggings and so much more! They can also accessorise by wearing caps, wristbands and sporty backpacks. It helps kids move around comfortably, and they can do whatever activity they want in this type of style. Casual sporty looks can be worn daily, so it doesn’t matter whether they’re going to an amusement park or going out for lunch.

The second style I think kids can wear is petcore. Some pet-lover kids are a perfect fit for this one because they can wear pet-themed clothes and accessories! For instance, we can wear T-shirts or sweatshirts with animal graphics. You can also wear paw-print designs with plush backpacks and fun socks with charms and animal faces. There are plenty of fun and cute clothing pieces to choose from! Although petcore seems like a style made for girls, boys can enjoy it too by switching or replacing the clothing pieces. Boys can wear petcore sneakers or caps with animal ears. Kids can look adorable in this clothing style.

The last clothing style I want to share with kids like me is artcore. Kids who love art and creative kids can wear this style to express their love and passion for art. Kids who don’t share a big interest in art can wear this style freely too. Shirts with fake paint splatters (or real paint if you want to make it look realistic), overalls, and mismatched socks can be worn if you want to dress in artcore. It gives off creative vibes, and it looks colourful too. Although it is unlikely to see kids wear art-designed clothing every day, you can still wear it occasionally.

The above styles can be suitable for kids everywhere, and they can feel free to wear whatever they want! Hopefully, my suggestions can help kids get an idea of which style they are interested in. Remember, being confident and comfy is key!
