My Experience Of Being An Interviewer In Sports Day
by Emma Wu from 5D
2025 sports day has come and gone. This time I was a member of the school Pui Ching Gazette, and I had to interview people that participated in the races. I was up on the stands watching people running when my teacher reminded me it was time for me to be interviewed.
It took me a really long time to find the meeting place because I don't know how to read the map showing the place. Therefore, I asked my class teacher to help me find the meeting place. It took us some time, but in the end we went to the right place. I thanked my teacher and then went to join the members of the club.
Mr Carlos, Mr Justin and Ms Cat, with a couple of other interviewers, were waiting for others to arrive. Then, when the interviewers all arrived, the teachers took us down to do our interviews. My interview with a participant in the 200 metres run named Katie went really well and smoothly. Mr Carlos helped us to take the video of us interviewing.
When I finished interviewing, I followed Ms Cat, and we strutted around the sports ground, finding interviewees for the Gazette members that don't have anyone to interview. I liked standing on the sports ground and interviewing people, rather than staying in the stands and being very bored. I felt that this event was very important.
When I finished my interview, I went back to the stands, and I arrived at my seat just in time to eat lunch.
In conclusion, I think interviewing people is really fun and excellent. I think sports day is fun and memorable for me too. I was overjoyed and satisfied after sports day because I won a medal. I was glad to be a member of the Pui Ching Gazette. I look forward to interviewing people at the swimming gala after the sports day. Lastly, I really like the Pui Ching Gazette because it’s a great place for you to keep in touch with the article world.
