Do you like noodles? As a noodle lover, I have a lot of favourites. Overall, I think that Hong Kong styled Chinese noodles are the best. Let’s take a look at the origin of this delicious dish!
Chinese noodles have been enjoyed for over a thousand years. They are more than just a meal. They symbolise long life and good fortune. From thick wheat noodles in the South to the East, each type of noodle reflects China’s rich traditions.
Origin
The origin of Chinese noodles can be traced back to a thousand years ago, when the Han Dynasty was founded (206 BC – 220 CE). Early records showed that noodles were made by kneading dough and then cutting and putting it into long, thin strips.
Some people believed that noodles could have existed as early as the Qin Dynasty (221 – 206 BCE) or the Zhou Dynasty (1046 BCE – 256 BCE). Noodles have a long history in China, but in the 1950s, Hong Kong styled noodle dishes became iconic.

You can pick any flavour you want! There are a thousand kinds of flavours you can pick.

Thick, thin, flat… As long as it fits you, you can choose anything you want!
3. Different kinds of noodles have unique textures.
Noodles that come from different cuisines have different unique textures. For example: The Hong Kong style pan-fried noodles (Liang Mian Huang) are known for their unique crunchy texture and savoury taste. I highly recommend you try it!
