Battle of The Mixed Arts

A short story from the Action lesson.
Kwon had recently learned Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on top of his taekwondo class, so he was always smirking and talking like he was the sensei, always rudely interrupting the sensei and insulting the other students. Therefore,in his next taekwondo class,so as soon as he entered his taekwondo dojang,he challenged his sensei Johnny Lawrence to a 3 round spar.
The atmosphere of the dojo was perfect for a dramatic fight, with dark brown walls with a bonsai tree on the wall, and the dim lights pointing towards the center mat, where Kwon and Sensei Lawrence’s match took place.
They touched gloves, bowed, and the fight began.
“Sensei is already quite old. I'll just make him run out of stamina.” Kwon thought.
“This shouldn’t be too hard, I’ve scored more knockouts than he has points!” Sensei Johnny Lawrence thought to himself.
Kwon went in for a 540 hook kick instantly, with Sensei Lawrence dodging it with a swift sidestep. Kwon didn’t think much of it, still full of adrenaline since his whole dojo was watching. Sensei Lawrence was staying on constant defense. Without a warning, Kwon struck again with a sweep and a tackle, followed by a punch landing directly in the face of Sensei Lawrence.
POINT!
“Not bad, huh?” Sensei Lawrence thought. He then gave a slight nod to Kwon.
A jab, dodged by Kwon, followed with an uppercut, dodged by Kwon again. Kwon struck back with two punches and a spinning back-kick,all easily dodged by Sensei Lawrence.”He’s dodging everything?! I’ll go to Brazilian Jujitsu then.”
Kwon went and swiftly tackled Sensei Lawrence to the ground, but he countered with his years of experience.
Wham! An elbow to the liver. Zoom! Sensei Lawrence swiftly slid from the chokehold.
POINT!
“It’s now overtime, the last point wins!” yelled Miguel, another student.
“There's no way I'll lose this!”Kwon thought to himself, but it was almost as if he was fooling himself at this point.
“Alright, it's getting boring now.” muttered Sensei Lawrence.
A spinning Hook kick, barely escaped by Kwon.
Two punches, millimeters away from landing right onto Kwon's face.
WHAM! a 540 finisher put Kwon laying on the ground.
POINT! LAWRENCE WINS!
“What?! I was getting a good grip on him! If I hadn’t lost focus,I would’ve won!” Kwon thought delusionally.
“You’re fast and agile, but all your moves are too flashy. Don’t try that again, but at least you’re not one of those people who “see red”!” Sensei Lawrence offered his hand to Kwon while chuckling, so Kwon accepted it while smirking slightly.
‘Fine, I'll accept it this time, but I’ll get him back next time for sure!” Kwon thought.
”Yes, sensei!”
And so maybe the true martial arts are the friends we make along the way.
