Radio Drama 25-26
We are thrilled to announce that our Radio Drama team has made it to the semi-finals in The 18th English Radio Drama Competition, organised by the Smart Education Charitable Foundation. This year’s talented team—Cheung Wong Zi Edna (5B), Ip Hei Nam Hayden (5E), Wong Yat Hei (5E), Tam Yuet Yee (6A), and Chan Pan Hei Camille (6F)—put on a fantastic performance.
This year's competition challenged students to explore how we present ourselves to the world under the theme "Our Persona." It looks at the masks we wear for friends, family, and followers, and the struggle that happens when our public image clashes with who we really are. Through their radio drama, The Perfect Hazel, our students dove deep into what it means to lose yourself in an act and how to find the courage to step into your true self.
Their story follows Hazel, a young content creator caught between the pressure to appear perfect online and the reality of her everyday life. Through vivid dialogue, engaging sound effects, and relatable characters, the drama captures her journey from insecurity and deception to self-acceptance and honesty. As Hazel learns that authenticity matters more than popularity, listeners are invited to reflect on their own lives beyond the screen. With its compelling narrative and meaningful message, this radio drama showcases not only the team’s creativity and performance skills, but also their ability to connect with real-world issues faced by young people today.
This is just the beginning for our talented students. With their drive and creativity, they will continue to shine in the future. You can listen to the full version of The Perfect Hazel on our blog here.
