How Puppies Make You Happy

by Gianna Chan Pui Ca from 4F

Puppies are common pets. They are playful and adorable. Many people love them because they bring happiness to us. Puppies have soft fur, wet and sensitive noses and big round eyes. They like to run, jump, and play with toys.

Puppies make children happy because they can help you to reduce stress. Think about having a hard day at school, and a cute, small puppy is waiting at the doorstep to welcome you back home. Its cute face makes you feel warm.

Therapy dogs are puppies that cheer up and bring joy to sick children. They nudge the sick children with their wet noses to bring comfort to lonely children in the hospital. Sometimes they do tricks such as shaking a paw with the children in the hospital. The owner of the therapy dog throws a soft toy for the therapy dog to catch. They also give the therapy dog instructions or commands to obey, for example, telling it to turn around or sit.

Even though I don’t have a therapy puppy, I think they are amazing and helpful, especially to sick children and blind people. Therapy puppies are very well-behaved dogs, so they are trained to guide blind people.

I like puppies because they bring happiness and warmth to you. They help us to be responsible. You might think, how can a puppy help you to be responsible? They need you to feed them food, take them out for a walk and help them bathe. They also teach us to be patient. So that's why I like puppies.
