5 Obvious Reasons Students Shouldn't Go To School

by Hailey Tong (6C)

1. Health

Students will get sick after eating bad food. Evil chefs cook food that just isn’t made to be eaten by students like myself. We not only hate it — we could also die from food poisoning! In restaurants or from our helpers and parents, food can leave us in poor health. We should take care of our health first. School can come later.

2. Pressure (literally!)

Have you ever felt how heavy students’ backpacks are? We have so many textbooks and pieces of paper. It’s almost torture. Since our schedules are so full, we’re busy, and when we’re busy, we’re tired too. Imagine trying to carry a 10-20kg bag around from classroom to classroom!

Student life isn’t easy! We’re always tired.

3. Brain overload

We have countless classes — math, English, Chinese and more! Our brains are overloaded and might explode from too much information. We have to study every single day on top of that. Assessments and exams — when can we breath? We don’t want to put too much strain on our tiny brains. We’re still growing!

4. Fake “recess”

Teachers often use our recess time to talk to us about this or that. We don’t to actually relax or mingle with our friends. The bell rings, we’re about to go out — and then we’re stopped! It’s terrible.

5. P.E. is like the military

In P.E. class our teacher makes us run and run. We’re already exhausted. Why do we have to run so much? I don’t get it. We like to spread our arms and be free. Maybe we should just play a chill team game instead. I don’t want to be in the military!

Why is P.E. class so hard? It should be more relaxing.

I hope these points help you understand why school is bad for us students. Let’s change this!
