The Savior of Kraken

‘CRACK’ Lightning stuck all over the land of Kraken. Everyone on Kraken was utterly afraid of their new ruler, Dolores. She had captured many innocent people. After taking over Kraken, she had planned to take over the world.

Fortunately, a brave soldier stepped up. Her name was Aphrodite. She was a loyal warrior. She knew she had to stand up for the citizens of Kraken. Unlike Dolores, Aphrodite was full of love and passion for her home country. She swore she would protect her beloved country and fight for it.

‘Nothing will block my way. I have to save the trapped people.’ Aphrodite said to herself. She knew that fighting Dolores head on would be hard as Dolores had been practising dark magic for centuries. However, she still didn’t give up and sprinted into the woods with her precious sword.

‘I’m finally here.’ Aphrodite exclaimed, panting. Dolores’ castle was hidden deep in the forest. She was ready to fight.

Aphrodite tread slowly through the creepy path along the way. Some crows flew along the trail and sent shivers down her spine.

She opened the door and the door made a ‘CREEK’ sound. Aphrodite walked around the halls stealthily and realised the corridor was endless. There wasn’t a single door.

‘Dolores must’ve put a spell onto the castle. I think I have a tool for that.’ Aphrodite thought to herself. She took out a pair of golden glasses. It looked quite peculiar. Its frame was triangular.

Aphrodite put on the glasses and saw some sparkly dust around the walls. The entrance seemed to be hiding within the walls. It was a narrow stone stairway. Aphrodite walked and walked. When she finally reached the end of the hallway, she saw a fireplace and an armchair. The place seemed to be abandoned. She felt exhausted after running around for so long so she sat on the armchair.

‘That’s too bad. You let your guard down.’ A mysterious voice said.

Aphrodite pulled out her sword and wielded it against the peculiar figure.

It was Dolores. She took out her wand, held it against Aphrodite and warned “I’m not letting you destroy my plan”

"We best get with it then.” Aphrodite replied.

Dolores pointed her wand at Aphrodite and shot a beam out of the tip. Aphrodite ducked. Aphrodite continued advancing towards Dolores and slowly forced her towards the walls.

Dolores had to smile. No one had taken an attack on her in so long. It was thrilling.

“You are most excellent.” Dolores was impressed. Aphrodite knocked her down and stabbed her sword into Dolores’ chest. Blood spilled out of her. She didn’t hesitate. She had deserved it after all.

With that one stab, all the curses Dolores had put were broken. Prisoners were freed. Slaves were released. Innocent people were saved.

Aphrodite got out of the castle. She smiled warmly and walked into the forest.
