Favorite Places Haikus Vol. 2 (2025-2026)

In our fourth lesson of our Poetry Unit, our students learned about the haiku, a Japanese short-form poem. They learned about the 5-7-5 syllable rule and the technique of how to say more with less.

As an homework assignment, students were asked to write haikus about the top 3 favorites places they have traveled to. It can be anywhere near their home, in Hong Kong or in another country they’ve visited.
