Dramatic Reading of Famous Poems Volume 2 (2022-23)

In our first lesson assignment in our new Poetry unit, the students were assigned to do a dramatic reading of a poem to develop their sense of poetry and their own individual voices.

For this assignment, students had to choose one out of six famous poems to read and they were required to communicate the feelings in the poem.

Before they started writing their own poems, we wanted the students to learn that it was okay to read and interpret a poem in your own individual way. As you’ll hear, they all sound different!

Boaz Yim in 5C, recorded all six poems and added background music!
