“Hello.” said a voice.

Michah jumped and crashed into a mirror. He looked at a shard of glass, looking in it. He had red hair, and round yellow eyes with black pupils. Michah was wearing a uniform of the Hero Agency with a blood red hood that once belonged to his older sister Fuji who died in a fire with their parents. This was the only thing he found in the ruins. He then looked at the room they told him to go to. It was dark, with only a globe of light shining behind a glass wall. Michah looked at it and saw a person tied behind the glass wall.

“Well, aren’t you a soapwort,” said the woman.

The woman had long red hair that covered one of her eyes. Her seeing eye was sharp and black with no pupils. She blew on the strand of hair covering her other eye and Michah saw that her other eye was different.

Her other eye is yellow and has black pupils just like mine, thought Michah.

But she has this…familiar aura. Perhaps I fought her before.

“Come on, Michah. You can convince the villain Deadly Nightshade!” called Tadeo.

Oh, right. I have to convince the Deadly Nightshade to join the heroes, thought Michah.

He looked at the woman’s files and read:

Hmm, her personal information is unknown. So… mysterious, thought Michah. And she refuses to harm me?

“When did you become a tree hole?” asked Deadly Nightshade.

“What do you mean?” asked Michah.

“I’m just saying.” shrugged Deadly Nightshade. “You blossomed into a beautiful iris instead of a hydrangea like me.”

“Let's start the interview.” said Michah, “Name?”

“Wisteria.” replied Deadly Nightshade.

Oh my, this villain is insane. thought Michah.

“Age?” asked Michah.

“Century plant.” replied Deadly Nightshade.

“Okay, Why did you become a villain?” asked Michah, slowly losing his patience.

“I couldn't grow into a beautiful flower because of a parasite.” answered Deadly Nightshade, “You could. But I couldn't. So I adapted to the conditions of the environment and changed into this poisonous flower.”

“That’s weird, well. Backstory?” asked Michah.

She didn’t answer but looked at him. Michah now understood why she seemed familiar. She was Fuji, his sister.

“Fuji?” asked Michah.

”Took you long enough.” she said.

“I understand now. Fuji means Wisteria. 30 is your age. The parasite is the trauma of our parents dying. You became a villain because you couldn't let go of the past. You adapted to your conditions.” explained Michah.

Fuji nodded.

“How are you? Come with me, and we can be together again.” asked Michah.

Her answer was laughter.

“You're too late. This flower’s already dead.”

A Not Very Pleasant Reunion
